Default how to GET gold?

My question is how to GET gold by yourself, not get gold from others. People have hundreds of k's and some millions. How do you literally GET the gold? Monsters drop 100+ gold around the areas ive been to. White/Blue items sell for too.

So is there some place to get GOLD itself? I heard that winning HOH gives you gold / items?

What about UW... i havent been there. Does it drop good gold or something that you sell for high gold?

People are paying alot these days for items .. hundreds of k's.. wheres all the gold coming from? :\

You can also eventually realise that you don't NEED a lot of gold to really enjoy this game. The people who are paying tens or hundreds of platinum for supposedly 'godly' items are people who probably just enjoy having the 'best' the game can offer, yet these best items aren't necessarily much better than items you can pick up from collectors scattered around the PvE world.

And armor? Unless you have your heart dead-set on Fissure armor (which costs about 15k for each armor piece), you should have plenty of money by the time you reach Droknar's Forge to buy top-level armor.

Lightbulb Right...

Interesting topic, but, truly, the only way to get huge amounts of gold is from other players, to my experience. Selling, running them, perhaps doing some other service, like questing, ect, is a good way to get yourself some gold. There is no area, to my humble experience, which drops insane amounts of gold in PvE format - sorry...

It is interesting to hear about the PvP HoH victory prizes, which is an inscentive enough for me, which I believe can just as well be attained by using a PvP character, sprucing him/her up a bit with unlocked goodies, and just having good amounts of skill.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

And, lastly, a small correction...
15k armor is NOT equal to Fissure armor. What you have in mind is the slightly more "show-offy" 15k armor, as it is accuratly called, that can be gotten from M.'s Grotto or Granite Citidel. Now FISSURE armor is another story, sometimes costing as much as a Million gold for a complete set, being dragged up by (now falling) ecto and shard prices. A single piece requires about 60 of each, I believe, meaning you pay:

Original Price: 15k
+ Material Prc.: ~15k (or so; not up to speed on costs of different armor "specialty" crafting materials)
Shard Price: 60 x ~3k = 180k
And... Ecto Price...:60 x 7k=420k
And... LOTS AND LOTS OF PATIENCE... equiavalent to an infinite amount of gold.

Which adds up nicely to... a lot... Although... my math is almost surely skewed, as I am not sure about the Ecto/shard need for each piece

Thanks for the correction, Meta. The original poster was referring more to baseline gold prices, so I stuck to those, but yes, he definitely should know about the additional material costs.

Wasn't there a topic recently on how to make gold?

The reality is, you will have to farm if you want that much gold, if you're happy with normal armor though, no farming is required

not anymore. when it used to sell for 100k, that wasn't bad

now sigils only sell for 40 - 50k, which is not all that much better than chump change

certainly one sigil won't give original poster the kind of money he's looking for

a correction on your correction

its does not require 60 ectos for every piece. depending on the piece your purchasing the req for ectos and shards differ.

chest: 45 ectos 45 shards
legs: 30 ectos 30 shards
boots:15 ectos 15 shards
gloves: 15 ectos 15 shards

well there you go.

Don't forget about warrior Fissure helms. 15 ecto and 15 shards for the helm.

Heh.

The Hall of Heros is part of the PVP portion of the game,
you need to win conscecutivly on the maps in the tomb of primeval kings to reach the Hall of Heros. If your team manages to win Hall of hero's you get 3 chests to open which drop sigils and gold/items also the teams name is displayed in green across everyones chat window

Just open chests in the Shiverpeaks. You'll make 30k+ per day

PvP characters have access to the storage vaults, yes. Simply go up to one of the Xunlai Storage agents on the hill facing the archway in the Tombs district, and put your items in.
